Walgreens beauty clearance UPDATED 11-16-13

I usually go to my local drugstores a few times a week, just in case they have any unannounced sales, or new items that came in and this week was no exception. Walgreens didn't have any had to be there sales like CVS did (40% off select makeup brands) but that's still no reason to see what they have going on and to my great surprise when I walked in I noticed a ton of the orange clearance stickers lining the beauty wall. SCORE. They had good deals on just about every brand, and as bad as I wanted to buy up some clearance mascara I walked away...although I may go back and see. I did end up with a Revlon foundation that was regular $13.99 & I scored it for $3.39 (chaaaaching) they also had eye shadow sticks from Revlon I believe that were marked down 75% off, I didn't need them but the more I think about it I may go grab them for stocking stuffers and giveaways...hmm maybe I can find a coupon to and get them cheaper! Comment below and let me know what your Walgreens has on clearance right now.

UPDATE: I went back and found a Revlon Concealer, two double ended eye shadow sticks AND Revlon make up is BOGO 1/2 off and it applies to clearance makeup!

The foundation and concealer are for me and the others will be put up for stocking stuffers.

Revlon Crazy Shine nail buffer, got 2b crazy sleek flat iron & blow dry lotion, Almay wake up concealer all on clearance! (the lip balm pictured wasn't on clearance, the Walgreens knock off of EOS lip balm) & also in regular clearance I bought a picture frame collage that holds 5 pictures for .75 cent!

Mini Make-Up Haul 8-27-13

Any store I EVER go into I always check their beauty aisle for any deals they may have, the Dollar Tree is no exception. Actually its one of my favorite places to pick up great beauty deals for only $1 !!!! If you've never been to a DT you need to go asap ! They most always carry the L.A. Colors brand but other notable brands I've spotted are Bonnebell, E.L.F., L'Oreal, Milani, Covergirl, Sally Hansen, NYColor & Olay. I can't promise yours will have those... it is hit & miss. Sometimes I go and leave with nothing other times I spend more money than I would like to admit in a place where nothing is over a dollar. Besides cosmetics & make up brushes I've also bought nail polish, np remover, make up remover wipes, emery boards, tweezers, cuticle clippers, and so on and so on ! Oh and they have nice candles holders , and other glass dishes and small vases that easily double as brush holders and for only $1 !!!!! So I stopped in today and this is what I bought....

My Mini Haul !

L'Oreal blush in Caribbean Coral & bronzy color blush but it will be used as Bronzer for contouring!
They had another color of blush...Flamingo? I didn't get it but I should have.

NYColor eye shadow palette in Urban Spice

L.A. Colors loose pigment eye shadow in Black Pearl
besides the black I seen white, gold, & a pink. Should have bought those too.

E.L.F. Studio contour brush
I've bought tons of E.L.F. brushes from DT but never a Studio Brush. Of all the ones they had today this was the only one I didn't have so I grabbed it.

Spotted at CVS 7-27-13

I've seen on a few blogs that some CVS were carrying E.L.F. nail polishes and I was jealous because my CVS did not and umm since when does CVS sell ELF? Because that would save me a lot of $$$ in shipping cost ! But anywho my CVS did not carry the ELF brand until recently because I just came across it today and it appears someone beat me to it and bought quiet a few colors! My store has this in an awful place. On a bottom shelf facing a wall. So it could have possibly been there longer and I've just never noticed it because its basically hidden. Anywho....I found it !

And also at CVS I spotted this nice little KK display. I love the Kardashian girls so I was happy to see this. I didn't buy anything. I thought I would go online and read a few reviews on the products but I know the first thing I want to buy is the face primer in the sparkly gold bottle. The bottle is beautiful but maybe the product is good too . If anyone has tried the Kardashian girls beauty products let me know ! I am dying to try them !! But the display included face primer, eye lashes, nail polishes, lip glosses, lip liners, mascaras and a few others.

E.L.F. Cosmetics Review

These are a few ELF products I picked up a few weeks ago to try out. I've never ordered from them until my friend Heather was going on and on about them one day so I bought a few things to try out. They have a wide varity of beauty products to try so it was kinda hard to pick !! And very inexpensive products so that's always nice (: you can order their products online on E.L.F. Cosmetics or a few stores I've been in carry them Walgreens, Target & KMart. And also right now during the month of July they are celebrating their 9th Birthday so check out the website for the great deals they have going on !

ELF All Over Cover Stick - $1.00 (I use Apricot Beige)
I had doubts about this all over cover stick because it was only a dollar but let me say I love it ! It comes in 7 colors so there is a shade for most skin types . Oh and it smells yummy , like fruit...which is odd for a concealer stick but its a good odd (: I don't have trouble blending this out and the stick is easy to use . I will be buying this again !

ELF Essential Brightening Eye Color in Butternut - $1.00
This is the quad I have with the light tan, peachy tan, brown and bronzy brown...this picture doesn't do the colors justice because they are nicer in person. I've used these colors together and with other eye shadows I own. They aren't the most pigmented but for a dollar they do the job. Although I wouldn't say they are eye brightening but the colors are nice and I use the bronzy brown as a crease color often. There are 12 different quads in the brightening collection and there are a wide range of colors. Overall I think these are nice little quads and for a dollar I would buy this one again or one of the other colors they have.

ELF Studio 3-1 Mascara $3.00 (This is also in my 10 Under 10 post)
This is the most expensive ELF purchase I made. And it is worth way more ! I am beyond in love with this mascara . This was a first for me with this style brush with the little ball on the end and I love love !! I should have bought two tubes. It goes on clump free, looks good alone or layered with other mascaras, it makes my lashes look a mile long and it last! And that little ball is great for getting in the corners and hard to reach places and for adding a little extra to the tips of my lashes to give them a lengther look !

ELF Bronzing Brush - $1.00

ELF All Over Brush - $1.00

The bronzing brush I actually use to apply my highlight power and its great for that since its a smaller angled brush. Sometimes I use it for blush or bronzing but not usually. And the all over brush I just haven't been that impressed with. Its not fluffy enough for me. I like a super fluffy brush for my all over powder and bronzing that I do. But I will say that these brushes don't shed all over me even after I wash them which that impressed me a lot considering they were only $1.00 and I've had much more expensive brushes just fall apart and shed all over me. I would buy more brushes from the ELF line.

ELF Essential Eye Primer - $1.00 in sheer
The color says sheer but its more of a light tan color which is fine since the other eye primer I have is a shimmery silver and the ELF primer creates a more neutral base and its kinda sticky which I like because it keeps my loose shadows in place !

Overall I was really impressed with the E.L.F. Cosmetics and I will be buying more from them!

Recent Haul Review

I've been using these products all week 1. Because I wanted to bring you guys a review ASAP 2. Because I was so excited to use all of these new products so I abandoned most of my regulars so that I could see how they all worked. Most of them impressed me but I hate to say it some did not .

NYX stay matte but not flat liquid foundation in Ivory $7.50 NYX Cosmetics

I've been using this foundation all week & I even tried it out on Kristen. I hate it. The color goes on way lighter than it looks. Its defiantly not full coverage. I had to pack this stuff on & still could not get it to cover anything I ended up using my glamoflauge concealer in the places that this stuff didn't cover. As soon as it went on my face it completely dried it out. It made dry patches on my skin. I was really disappointed in this foundation. I used this on a bare face, a primed face & a freshly moisturized face. It still did not help  this foundation. Maybe I can find someone who has the right skin type for this foundation? I don't know but it defiantly did NOT work for me.

NYX stay matte but not flat HD powder foundation in Nude $9.50 NYX Cosmetics

(The top photo is mine but this photo is courtesy of NYX)

The packaging is super sleek & classy. It was love at first sight. When you first feel the powder its super soft and it gives off just enough sheer color. It covers well if you want to wear it without foundation but it also works great as setting a foundation and creating a matte flawless look. Unlike the liquid foundation with the same name this stuff is the BEST! I had been using the Rimmel Stay Matte powder and while I still like it the NYX powder goes that extra mile and makes me look a little more flawless and keeps the shine at bay a little longer. Its not as translucent as my Rimmel powder but I love it and it doesn't change the color of my foundation but instead compliments it. This will defiantly be a keeper in my book !

Milani Baked Blush in Berry Amore $8.99 @ CVS

I bought this because I have been looking for a go to blush and look how beautiful this is. It's a deep rose with gold shimmer marbled in. I use it with a lot of my looks. It goes on smooth and is a very beautiful color that is easy to layer so that you can build it . I've worn it alone  & mixed with other blushes. I like it. I don't think it will be my "go to" blush but I will keep using it when I need to add some shimmer to my cheeks.

Maybelline FIT Me concealer $5.49 @ Target

I was really excited to try something else from the FIT collection since trying the foundation . I haven't actually used this concealer with another FIT product because this time of year (summer in Florida) my face is oily enough but I'm sure during the winter when my face is a little more dry I will be going back to my FIT foundation . But I do love this concealer for year around use. It doesn't make my skin oily and it covers great !! I have concealers that I've been using and loving but they are all the kind that I have to apply with my finger and I was really looking for a good one with a wand applicator. They offer these in a wide range of colors so that everyone is sure to find a match and its a full coverage and has a nice thick consistency but not too thick that it cakes up. I've used it on breakouts, redness, under eyes & just about any skin dilemma you may be trying to cover and I love it. Stays on for hours at a time. Will defiantly be keeping this around for a while !

Hard Candy's Fox in a Box blush in Spicy & Sweet $6 at Walmart

I have found the Blush of my dreams people ! I LOVE LOVE LOVE this blush. When I went to the store they had a few to pick from one with more pinks and another with more oranges and tans, I choose this one because it seemed to have a good balance of the pinks & tans. I defiantly want to try them all ! I think the packaging is super cute & I love the box idea versus just a plastic container and then you open it up and there are 4 beautiful colored blushes. You could probably just use the pinks or just use the tans if you wanted but I swirl them all together and its this beautiful glowing blush on my cheeks that last all day . I had used it a couple times when I took this picture and you can't even tell its been used which I was glad because I did not want to ruin how pretty it was. For $6 bucks you can't go wrong . There is a lot of product in there it will be awhile before I hit pan on this one and I feel like this would compliment anyone's skin tone you could use more pink or more tan or do as I do and swirl them altogether. I will be buying this product again & again . I'm also super excited to check out the other colors they offer !

This is just a better look into the box. The tannish orange & golden tan color on top and the baby pink and rose pink on the bottom. FYI: It does come with a cute pink brush but I do not use it I use a large fluffy brush to apply my blush.

L'Oreal Voluminous Million Lashes mascara $7.00 @ Walmart
I usually combine a few different mascaras to get the look I want so its very rare that I find a mascara that I can use by itself that gives me the long full lashes that I want. I've used the million lashes all week and I'm hooked ! I love how the brush separates each lash individually and makes them long and clump free. This mascara last all day even after I'm home from work. It hasn't smudged or ran. This is a keeper for sure that I think everyone should try.
