Ipsy Glam Bag August 2014

This was my first Ipsy bag since the beginning of the year, I finally was able to get off of the waiting list again so I was super excited to have my little pink package back in my mail box...

If you aren't familiar with Ipsy it's a makeup subscription for only $10 a month. Each month you will receive a makeup bag with 4-6 beauty products, most are deluxe sized & some full size. I've had Ipsy for over a year and have always received more than my $10 worth!

This month's theme was "Beauty Schooled" there were 17 total products that were up for grabs. Although there were some other things I would have liked to received I was very happy with my bag this month! Everything will get used for sure.

Urban Decay 24/7 velvet glide on eye pencil in Plushie (purple)
.03oz size - $12

This was defiantly the product I wanted most. I love UD eyeliners so very glad to add this one to my collection. Although I doubt I will totally line my entire eye in purple eyeliner it is pretty on my lower lash line. Also if you've never used UD 24/7 eyeliner it really does last a long time.

J.Cat flying solo eyeshadow in Half Naked
This is a full size product for $2.99

I have a few J.Cat products I've received from Ipsy before and so far so good. I'll add this to the collection and use it up eventually I'm sure.

BH Cosmetics blush sampler duo.
I estimated about $2? Seems about right..
I love everything I've ever purchased from BHC myself they never disappoint and this was not exception. Although a small duo they will both no doubt get used up & maybe even purchased in a full size from BHC myself.

Jersey Shore Sun Mongongo lip conditioner in mandarin green orange ginger
& Klorane extra gentle dry shampoo with oat milk
I was excited to receive both as I love lip balms & dry shampoo. The lip balm feels great on my lips but I hate the flavor. It's so gross. Will be tossing it since I've already used it but I was very satisfied with the dry shampoo this could possibly be a product I will purchase if I can find it in stores.
Jersey Shore Lip Conditioner/full size - $5.50
Klorane dry shampoo/full size - $8.99

Overall I was satisfied with my products & I'll reuse the cute little white & orange polka dot bag for something. With an estimated value of over $30 I think it was well worth $10! If you haven't signed up for Ipsy I suggest you go ahead & do so.

Benefit Benetint Lip & Cheek Stain Review

I probably wouldn't have bought Benetint on my own but it did come in my July Ipsy bag so of course I was going to try it. I wear blush & lipstick/lip gloss daily so I have no problem with color and this stain is supposed to be "long lasting" so even better ! I was all for the lips, like duh that's perfect but the cheek part I was weary of...a liquid on my just made up flawless face...hmm?

The applicator kinda looks like a nail polish brush..

These are the only "directions" they give. Which I like picture directions so this isn't horrible.

Up first the lips. I applied the stain with the brush provided and then tapped it in to give a more even appearance... that was a bust. It seem like it migrated to the inner parts of my lips , the more textured part of my lips I suppose. (I wear chapstick 24/7 so my lips aren't dry by no means) but that's how it settled. So I layered another coat on my lips...same thing. Basically I do not like this stuff. It looks like I drank Kool Aid. Josh even asked me what I had been drinking...um nothing that's my lip stain babe...! So I am glad I did not shell out $30 for a full size bottle of this for a lip stain..but we still have the cheek stain part ..!

Cheek Stain..... even bigger bust. This looks like I have sunburn or got beat up!! I applied a thin layer of foundation and then set it with powder like I normally would my make up. I followed the directions on the box, three little stripes in the area I would normally apply my powder blush and then I tapped it into my skin because I fear a fierce rub would whisk away my make up . So I was patting and dabbing away and I was checking my fingertips and I could already see my make up coming off. But maybe a little would be fine ok...I kept checking in the mirror and it just kept getting ew so I stopped & took a picture of how ugly , sunburn , punched in the face look it was giving me.

I'm thinking about maybe trying this on a make up free face... which I was going sans make up why would I want blush? I'm not sure but I do have quiet a bit left so whatever I may just try something. I could watch a youtube vlog about it and maybe find some tips on how to use this mess. If you guys have any tips let me know because I feel like this is a waste and it makes me sad because I was really excited about this.

Ipsy July 2013 Review/Unboxing !!

My first Ipsy bag has FINALLY arrived ! They sent me my tracking number last Friday & it just arrived today (Saturday) so that was quite a wait for me ! I checked the mailbox everyday thinking maybe my tracking order was wrong haha. I wanted it that bad. But here goes ! & I took a lot of pictures (:

My pink bag finally arrived y'all ! I made Josh chase down the mail truck because we were headin' out swimming & I seen the truck down the road lol!

Sneak Peek! It was killing me not being able to take everything out of this bag (:

Here's the bag & card that it came with & then the bottom corner is everything out of the bag.

This is the cute little bag. I'll def be using this to hold my chapsticks & sunscreen and stuff to the throw in my beach bag. I'd value this bag at about $3 . I've seen similar ones at Ulta that were a little bigger for about $5 so I'd say since this is a little smaller about $3

Big Sexy Hair Weatherproof hair spray - $7.80
I will be trying this tonight when Josh & I go on a double date with our friends. The Florida afternoon thunderstorms have set in for the evening so I'm crossing my fingers this stuff works!

BH Cosmetics California collection eyeshadows -$2 (full size is $11)
I'd value this at about $2 since its only 3 shadows and the full size one is $11 and it has a ton of shadows and blushes so if I were to buy this sample one I wouldn't spend but about $2. I love these shades !! The purple I could see using on my lower lash line to add a pop of color and the middle brownish color will def be used as a crease color !! And I have been obsessing over a gold shadow since I seen the one that was in the Too Faced palette at Ulta so that will go to good use asap!! I've never owned anything from BHC so I was excited to receive this. If I like the shadows I may consider ordering the entire Malibu palette (that was the one that I liked most of the 3) And I thought the color payoff was pretty decent. This is probably my favorite item in the bag so far!

Coola Rose essence tinted moisturizer with SPF 20 - $4.87
This was the product I was least excited about because I have this type of thing already and I like what I use but I'll use this up so I can review on it for you guys. I smelled it and it really doesn't smell like rose anything and the tint is beautiful but I did try a small bit on my face and it rubbed out transparent so once its on you can't tell it was tinted at all. This is a way smaller sample than I thought we would be getting so I figure maybe two times I could use it. And it seems a bit pricey because the sample this size was almost $5 . I probably won't buy this once I use it all.

                                                          Benefits benetint - $5
I valued this sample at about $5. The full size is $30 and its the size of a nail polish. But benetint is a cheek and lip stain sold by Benefit. I've never used a lip stain or cheek stain at all so this will be something new to me. I will defiantly try this out on my lips because I think that's a great idea to use a stain so that you don't have to reapply all day but my cheeks I'm not sure yet...what if I mess up & then my make up is all messed up?! This was the first spoiler I received in an email so I've been excited to get this as well!

Pop Beauty pouty lip crayon in rose romance (full size) - $4.17

At first sight it looks like a light brown and I was like mehhhhh but once you get it in the light you can tell its a pinky color and once I swatched it I could see the pink (sigh of relief) I think this is a beautiful color & I will be wearing this a lot. Maybe even on date night tonight (:

Overall I was very satisfied with my July 2013 bag from Ipsy for only $10 + FREE SHIPPING I received almost $27.00 worth of products !! I'd say that's a good deal!

I hope you guys enjoyed my first Ipsy unboxing !! I can't wait to use & review all of these products ! Comment below & tell me what you got in your Ipsy bag !!!

Beauty Haul 6-17-13

These are some things I picked up yesterday mostly drugstore but I did pick up the NYX at a department store. I am beyond excited to start using these asap !! I picked up the Clearasil acne clearing gel while I don't have bad skin I do have the occasional breakout . The FIT concealer because I've heard amazing things about it and I love the FIT collection by Maybelline ! I used to use the Maybelline Great Lash mascara a while back and I liked it, well at Wal-Mart they had the 2 pack on sale for $5 !!!!! Do we really think I was going to pass that up? Um no!!! I'm still on the hunt for a blush that I absolutely love so Hard Candy's Fox in a Box is my next contender. As I've said before I LOVE the NYX setting spray so I decided to try the NYX foundation & powder (yayy!) and last but not least I've had the Loreal Million Lashes mascara on my -to get- list for a while and I really like the shiny gold packaging! lol. & some super good news... I've recently gotten on the Ipsy make up subscription list so I will be blog reviewing my bag of goodies each month and I could not be more excited !!!
