Ipsy Glam Bag August 2014

This was my first Ipsy bag since the beginning of the year, I finally was able to get off of the waiting list again so I was super excited to have my little pink package back in my mail box...

If you aren't familiar with Ipsy it's a makeup subscription for only $10 a month. Each month you will receive a makeup bag with 4-6 beauty products, most are deluxe sized & some full size. I've had Ipsy for over a year and have always received more than my $10 worth!

 



This month's theme was "Beauty Schooled" there were 17 total products that were up for grabs. Although there were some other things I would have liked to received I was very happy with my bag this month! Everything will get used for sure.

This was defiantly the product I wanted most. I love UD eyeliners so very glad to add this one to my collection. Although I doubt I will totally line my entire eye in purple eyeliner it is pretty on my lower lash line. Also if you've never used UD 24/7 eyeliner it really does last a long time.

I have a few J.Cat products I've received from Ipsy before and so far so good. I'll add this to the collection and use it up eventually I'm sure.

I love everything I've ever purchased from BHC myself they never disappoint and this was not exception. Although a small duo they will both no doubt get used up & maybe even purchased in a full size from BHC myself.

Jersey Shore Sun Mongongo lip conditioner in mandarin green orange ginger

& Klorane extra gentle dry shampoo with oat milk

 I was excited to receive both as I love lip balms & dry shampoo. The lip balm feels great on my lips but I hate the flavor. It's so gross. Will be tossing it since I've already used it but I was very satisfied with the dry shampoo this could possibly be a product I will purchase if I can find it in stores.

Overall I was satisfied with my products & I'll reuse the cute little white & orange polka dot bag for something. With an estimated value of over $30 I think it was well worth $10! If you haven't signed up for Ipsy I suggest you go ahead & do so.

 

 

Ipsy My Glam November 2013

It has arrived, it did seem kinda strange since my bag came while I was at work today and then this evening around 6pm they sent me an email saying it was on its way...ok? When I first seen my Glam Room I was slightly disappointed...yes I understand this is a subscription box and they send you what they want but let me explain. Obviously when the spoilers come out I'm like oh I want this or oh I don't want that but I received the Starlooks eye pencil in the silverish purple color, yay that's fun but then my EM makeup product was a grey eye liner ... I mean I feel like I received the same product twice which is not cool. But what I'm saying is I wish Ipsy would have looked more into it what everyone was receiving and tried to make the EM product something different than what was already in the bag. With that being said lets look at my bag!

I've never tried the Kiss brand lashes but I'm always game for new lashes!

I've also been running low on my holy grail bronzer but I've made myself not buy anymore because I knew I was getting a bronzer from Pixi in my bag.

I paid $10 for this bag but all of my total products combined were over $70! Um wowwwww. I am so impressed even if I did get two eyeliners. All of my products were FULL SIZE except the Pixi bronzer but its still a really nice deluxe size.

I've gotten two eyeliners from Ipsy since I started getting them in July and its mehh I have a ton of them so I'd rather not get another one but it does seem that these won't be basic black but nice silver, gold or a jewel tone so that wouldn't be so bad if I did get one. Maybe a fun color for a holiday party!

 

 

I think this month's bag is a metallic gold clutch. yes yes yes ! Gold is my new favorite so this is going to be my new go to bag!

October Ipsy had arrived! Faster than last months bag!

I peeked at my GlamRoom so I knew what I would be getting and I was very happy with it and I would defiantly say it was worth my $10 dollars.

I LOVE this color from Zoya, my first polish from them. The color is called Mason.

Last month I received a NYX eyeshadow in blue also, I'm not sure why Ipsy thinks I like blue eyeshadow?!?! I like the Navy better than the ice blue color from NYX...idk maybe I'll update my quiz!

September 2013 Ipsy My Glam Bag

My Ipsy bag has FINALLY arrived & according to the tracking code they sent me it sat in Georgia for a week...why? I understand the free shipping but that irks me. I checked my Glam Room as soon as it opened up because I can't help myself , so I knew what I was getting.

If you don't know what Ipsy is its a monthly makeup/beauty subscription program. Its $10 a month and you will receive 4-5 full size or deluxe size products based on the beauty quiz you take.

My first look.

This month's theme is Classic Beauty.

Loving the blue bag!

 

This is the sample card from Michelle Phan;s new make up line, she' s the creator behind Ipsy/Glam bag. The blush & eyeshadows in the bottom right corner are the samples, I don't ever have too much luck with sample cards like this but we shall see !

 

Since I peeked at the Glam Room I knew what I was getting.

 

In the glam room my nyx eye shadow was grey and I was excited but it came and it was blue so that wasn't a good surprise for me, I'd rather have the grey or something more neutral. In my last month's Ipsy bag I received an eyebrow pencil so getting another one wasn't too impressive and another mascara, its my favorite product but this will stay closed for a while because I have too many open right now. I was happy with the tinted balm because I needed a new red lip color!

I am so in love with the smooth buttery way this shadow glides across my skin!)

August 2013 Ipsy Glam Bag - Glamour Academy

My glam bag came today !!! I didn't know what I was getting because my Glam Room didn't update until after my bag came for some reason so it was defiantly a surprise this time and it came much faster than last time. I waited 8 days after it was sent out last time compared to the speedy(er) 4 day delivery this time ! This was my 2nd month with Ipsy and I plan on keeping my subscription because I'm pleased once again....and on that note lets check out the goodies in my August bag "Glamour Academy"

                                                                    This is my first look !

I was satisfied over all with the items that came in my bag this month., I would have rather had a blush than the eye shadow since its the same color as my NYX loose pigment shadow I just bought a few weeks back and I was so thrilled to have a Michael Todd product in my bag !! The complete contents of my bag : Urban Decay Lipstick in Anarchy - Michael Todd Jojoba Charcoal facial scrub - Mica Beauty loose pigment shimmer powder in Bronze - Pixi Lash Booster Mascara - Chella eye brow pencil in dark brown & the purple bag in the background is this months bag. I'm not a fan of it but it does seem sturdy & of good quality.

I LOVE the color & it just happen to match my nails ! Its a deluxe sample but its still tiny. It's so mini it's cute ! But I'll get enough use out of it to give a good review !

 

 

Pixi Lash Booster Mascara ! Can't wait to try out a new mascara !

 

 

The packaging says "shimmer powder" I assume its an eye shadow because I probably wouldn't wear this color anywhere else. I mean you could add it to clear gloss to make a lip color or clear polish to make a bronzy color polish but this will probably go unopened for a while or in the donate box because I have a full loose pigment color from NYX in the same exact color.

 

                       These are the prices I "calculated" based on sample sizes vs full size & full size price.

I tried to place a true value on these products according to the sizes and online pricing and I came up with a total of $51.73 for my August bag & I didn't even total in a price for the bag but that's also give or a take a few dollars . But for $10 a month I am satisfied with this bag !

I've never tried a Michael Todd product but I've heard nothing but GREAT thinks about it. So that's exciting ! This is something I am really excited about.

 

 

 

Sneak Peek #4 - Pixie Lash Booster Mascara

 

I LOVE Mascara but according to reviews this isn't the easiest mascara to remove and has caused damaged on some users eye lashes...uh-oh ! Maybe that isn't the case because I kinda want it...!

 

 

Ok so Ipsy did a 5 in 1 today on the sneak peek ! There are a lot of sneak peeks in one picture ! I'm not sure of everything but some items I'm pretty positive on ! And it kinda looks like some are repeats of things we've seen this year already which is ok as long as no one gets doubles , I'm pretty sure I've read on the Ipsy website they keep track of who gets what so if you got item X in the April bag you won't get item X in the August bag.. hopefully !

 super busy ! But here's this months bag. I was disappointed in it , all the glitter in the sneak peek pictures had me really wanting a sparkly bag ! But I do like the purple its just the print that turns me away but its a cute theme for August for back to school month.

& I received my email from Ipsy today say my bag shipped on the 7th ! Yay hope it hurries !
