Ipsy Glam Bag August 2014

This was my first Ipsy bag since the beginning of the year, I finally was able to get off of the waiting list again so I was super excited to have my little pink package back in my mail box...

If you aren't familiar with Ipsy it's a makeup subscription for only $10 a month. Each month you will receive a makeup bag with 4-6 beauty products, most are deluxe sized & some full size. I've had Ipsy for over a year and have always received more than my $10 worth!

 



This month's theme was "Beauty Schooled" there were 17 total products that were up for grabs. Although there were some other things I would have liked to received I was very happy with my bag this month! Everything will get used for sure.

 

 

Urban Decay 24/7 velvet glide on eye pencil in Plushie (purple)

This was defiantly the product I wanted most. I love UD eyeliners so very glad to add this one to my collection. Although I doubt I will totally line my entire eye in purple eyeliner it is pretty on my lower lash line. Also if you've never used UD 24/7 eyeliner it really does last a long time.

I have a few J.Cat products I've received from Ipsy before and so far so good. I'll add this to the collection and use it up eventually I'm sure.

I love everything I've ever purchased from BHC myself they never disappoint and this was not exception. Although a small duo they will both no doubt get used up & maybe even purchased in a full size from BHC myself.

Jersey Shore Sun Mongongo lip conditioner in mandarin green orange ginger

& Klorane extra gentle dry shampoo with oat milk

 I was excited to receive both as I love lip balms & dry shampoo. The lip balm feels great on my lips but I hate the flavor. It's so gross. Will be tossing it since I've already used it but I was very satisfied with the dry shampoo this could possibly be a product I will purchase if I can find it in stores.

Overall I was satisfied with my products & I'll reuse the cute little white & orange polka dot bag for something. With an estimated value of over $30 I think it was well worth $10! If you haven't signed up for Ipsy I suggest you go ahead & do so.

Benefit - How to Look the Best at Everything - $30

A few weeks ago I received a small sample of the Benefit Hello Flawless foundation and wanted to try it out for more than a day but I didn't want to quite splurge on a full bottle so exclusive to Sephora they have this set with Porefessional, Hello Flawless, two shades of  boi-ing concealer and Hello Flawless powder, for only $30 this a really great way to try out Benefit products and see how they all work together.

 

Sephora Black Magic palette. I didn't have time to swatch the entire thing but I've bought another Sephora palette (Desert Palette) and I use it all the time. Sephora has great eye shadows!

I've never owned anything from CR so I thought this would be a good start.

I had the option to use some of my points I've earned and I've been looking to try Kat Von D products so I'll let you know how this goes.

 

For spending $25 or more you get to pick one of four sample bags, I'm not really impressed with anything in this bag, so I'm not even sure why I picked it. I am excited to try the Smashbox mascara but the rest of it I've tried and don't like or something I wouldn't be interested in. To the stocking stuffer pile they go!

Urban Decay Naked Palette 3

So this is the new Urban Decay Naked 3 eye shadow palette. I ran across this online and fingers crossed its true! I love these shadow colors. I will defiantly be adding this to the top of my Christmas list ! According to a post I seen online this should be available for purchase starting Saturday November 16th...as soon as I here more I will happily post it !

Since its my birthday month (Sept28) they had the option to add on a Birthday Gift it was either this Benefit set (they're real mascara & Watts Up highlighter) & I think the other option was bodywash. Umm I went with the Benefit sample set.

 

 

 

These were my free samples.

I choose 2 MakeUp Forever powder foundations in medium & light. Marc Jacobs gel foundation & concealer and they added in Marc Jacobs Dot fragrance sample (Which I Love better than Honey)

I Love these colors. Some of them seem to be a bit sheer but still give off beautiful coloring and go on so smooth and velvety! *Also these do not have any type of primer underneath.

Top to Bottom Left Column : Smog, Mildew, Oil Slick, Last Call, Chopper

Top to Bottom Right Column : Maui Wowie, Shattered, Polyester Bride, Grifter, & Sin

 

I think these shadows are thicker & aren't as thin as the ones in the other palette. Before applying they looking like they have chunks of glitter in them but nothing too glittery and Hannah Montana like showing up here. I am so obsessed with Maui Wowie & Sin. Also these were not applied over any type of primer.
