Recent Beauty Haul - Black Friday & CVS Winter beauty clearance

Just the makeup I've bought in the past week...I don't usually buy this much makeup in one week but Black Friday and CVS winter beauty clearance happen to fall right around the same time so here I am (:

a little of everything, I had two of the Rimmel mascaras and two of the Airspun powders but I already gave those to my mama, gotta keep her stocked up too! (The Milani lipstick was NOT clearance but on sale for $2.99 this week, everything else is clearance!)

Nothing in my CVS is stickered with clearance stickers yet and they told me maybe not even until January but I just took products I seen on other blogs and scanned them, some came up clearance others did not but hopefully soon! This is 5 different trips in the past three days with a total combined savings of $155.26!!

 

I'm not going to list everything but the things that stood out to me as a GREAT buy were..

*Coty AirSpun loose powder for $1.82 (bought 2!)

*Physicians Formula shimmer strips (bronzer, blush, eyeshadow) $3.45 (saved over $10 on this item)

*Revlon Just Bitten balm stains in Darling & Precious for $2.25 apiece (almost $7 in savings apiece) 

*Rimmel Max Volume mascara for $1.95 (bought two)

*Revlon Colorstay Mineral Lipglaze for $2.45

*L'Oreal Voluminous False Fiber Lashes starter kit (Mascara, eyeliner & pencil sharpener for $7.89!

*Sally Hansen Colorfast lip balm pencils for $1.22 each! (bought 3)

*Nicole by OPI polish from the Selena Gomez and Modern Family collections regular $7.99 each I bought for $1.99 each

*NYC liquid shine lip glosses in Midtown Mulberry & Big Apple Spice for .49 cent each!

*Lipsmaker Party Pack chapsticks (8piece) for $2.49 regular $9.99!

**I'll more than likely will go back for more as new items become available & to grab some repeats for stocking stuffers!

 Black Friday!

I didn't do any major beauty shopping on Black Friday I was on the prowl for boots, ended up with 3 pair... but I did pick up a few things here and there.

 

Bath & Body had Buy 3 Get 3 Free so I grabbed some things for gifts but also grabbed myself these two sprays & a matching Pink Chiffon body wash. It's such a girly scent, I'm in love plus its pink! I also purchased a few 3 wick candles because they were on sell, smell amazing and they last forever!

While waiting for other stores to open we stopped in Big Lots just to see what they had going on and I ended up with a WNW eye lash curler for .70 cent, WNW Natural wear pressed powder (never heard of this before) and 6 Rimmel vinyl jelly lip liners , they came in 2 packs that were $2.00 apiece so basically $1.00 per lip liner. I was impressed.

 

 Target - 3 pack of EOS lipbalms for $7.99 (pomegranate raspberry, sweet mint & vanilla bean (limited edition) and Sonia Kashuk concealer stick

 Too Faced perfect eyes eyeliner) both were deluxe sizes & at Sephora for $10 for the set, I've been wanting to try BTS mascara so I figured $10 for the mascara and eyeliner was a decent deal!

October Empties & Favorites

I didn't have a lot of October empties so I decided to combine my empties/favorites all into one for October!

My empties for October:

Revlon Beyond Natural false lashes : 91169 - omg I am so obsessed with how these make my whole face look ! Seriously I wore these for a Halloween but they would look amazing for an extra glammed up day look or a night out!

 

Equate beauty Night Time soothing makeup remover towelettes - I use these over & over I am obsessed with them. I've already repurchased. These things are huge so you only need one and I can take off an entire days worth of makeup or even a full face of Halloween makeup. Also removes eye makeup like a charm.

 

Maybelline FITme liquid foundation-  I really like this foundation, it gives me flawless skin, I don't always get to wear it when my skin is being extra oily because then I am a grease pit but if I am having a normal or dry day I'm good. Yes I would repurchase this! (I've recently bought the Maybelline FITme foundation stick so we will see how this compares!)

 

Benefit Hello Flawless foundation - This was a sample from Sephora I do believe and I was kinda on the fence about trying it because I seen a few reviews and people said it sucked but I LOVED it. I ended up getting two & a half uses out of it and I will be purchasing a full size bottle, it makes my face look good, really flawless and its oil free so that is helpful.

 

October Favorites!

 

Naughty & Nice body spray in Sweet Seduction (Walmart) - This is a dead ringer for Pure Seduction from Victoria Secret seriously it smells just like it and its under $5, I may go back and get the body wash!

 

Coola - matte tint Natural BB cream with spf 30 - Coola sent me this to try out and I am in love. It goes on translucent and I use it as a primer under my makeup and it last for hours. If you guys haven't tried any Coola products you should! I also use their tinted moisturizer and its amazing as well.

 

Sephora instant radiance foundation - I bought this on a whim because it was on sale and I was pleasantly surprised at how much I like it and the coverage it gives!

 

Equate beauty - Nail polish remover pads - I bought these on the road to an event when I realized I didn't touch up my toes so I had to just remove the polish and go with it , I ran in the store grabbed these (I didn't even know they existed! Where have I been?) but one pad per packet and it removes all your polish. I love these! Quick & easy and travel friendly.

 

NYX Butter Gloss in Merengue - I bought a 3 pack of Butter Gloss and this pink is my favorite! It smells amazing, like candy. I wear it alone or over lipstick. I can't wait to try out all of them!

 

Rimmel scandaleyes flex mascara- I'm not particularly fond of this mascara on bare lashes by itself but I do like to layer it over other mascaras and it does amazing things when I'm wearing my false lashes! LOVE LOVE LOVE for merging false lashes and my real lashes together. I used it with my Revlon lashes and people were like hey I love your lashes and I was all like I know right(: haha but really they looked great.

 

e.l.f. matte lip color in Rich Red - The pencil type shape is so easy to work with and goes on super smooth. I'm not a fan of matte red lips so I put a gloss over it and it works out perfect. No bleeding and being messy. I have 4 color total and the pinky color is nice too.

 

Maybelline 24 hour Color Tattoo cream eye shadow in Barely Branded - I love this shadow for a million reasons ! It's a great color to use as a highlight, or sometimes when I'm in a hurry I just swipe it across my lids and  it looks nice alone but I almost always use it as an eye shadow primer. It rocks! It give better staying power than my elf or urban decay eye shadow primer and it really makes the colors pop!

 

 

 

 

Rimmel HD Glam Eyes at Dollar Tree

While browsing the aisles at my local Dollar Tree (everything is $1!!!) I spotted these little gems from Rimmel! I priced them at other stores and they were going for about $6!!!! The Rimmel HD Glam Eyes eye shadow quads! I was super stoked to find these I mean $6 apiece or 3 different ones for $3!! I bought all the different quads they offered at mine and I will keep checking back to see if they get others in! I sure hope so! I've never actually owned Rimmel eye shadows but I love their mascaras, and eye crayons, & lip products.

I'm not particularly a fan of how these are set up. Some of the colors are so tiny its hard to get to them! But I didn't pay $6 like some people so I can deal with the tiny nooks of eye shadow for $1. The quads have a number & name but the individual colors don't have names.

 My eye shadow colors for the day ! I used the Wet N Wild palette in Walking on Egg Shells but traded out the brown crease color for the Klean Color baked eyeshadow in Toffee

I always keep a little chapstick on my lips while I'm doing my make up, then my Strike a Rose baby lips, then a little bit more pink with my wet n wild lipstick in Nouveau Pink & topped off with my Milani Crystal gloss in Raspberry Icing

 

The finished product. I wore this look while running errands and grocery shopping & please excuse my wild eyebrows, I'm trying to grow them out so that they can be shaped they way I want this time!

May/June Products I've been using

These are a few products I bought back in April, May & some in June I've been using them like crazy so that I could write a review for you guys (: and because I get way too excited to use new products and then buy new products when those run out and then the cycle starts all over ! Enjoy my beautiful people.. !

                                              Hard Candy Sheer Envy Primer - $8 @ Walmart

This is the only primer that I've ever used so I don't have another primer to compare it to but I do love it. I like the way it feels on my skin without making it feel oily. I bought this in April because I was wanting to try out a primer and compared to the prices of higher end ones this is a steal ! I haven't used it all yet but when I do I'll probably try another out just so I have something to compare it too but I would buy this again ! I was very impressed with the coverage and the smooth base it made for my make up !

                                        L'Oreal True Match foundation - $7.99 @ Walgreens
I was looking for a new foundation and I watch Nicole Guerriero on youtube basically everyday and this is what she has been using so I said why not? Her make up looks amazing so there I was in Walgreens picking up my bottle of amazingness and I have to say I LOVE it . I will be buying this again! I'll probably get the next shade up because this one was a little too light for me. But I've been adding color to my face with my bronzer and this foundation builds very well !!

Almay concealer & treatment gel - $8.99 @ Target

I bought this on a whim because it was actually on sale for cheaper when I bought it . Its one big product with a concealer on one end that you roll up like a lipstick and the other end is a blemish clearing gel. At first I was like oh this sounds like a big mess this will never work. Oh how wrong I was. You apply the gel let it sit for a few minutes and dry then apply the concealer over the problem area. It goes on so smooth and the gel keeps the concealer from getting all cakey in your blemish. I don't break out bad but I do have my days when I have acne in a few areas and the spot treatment I use makes my face dry so putting make up on that area is always horrible because its dry but with this stuff its not dry at all and my make up goes on smooth as ever ! Ok so I've worn my make up for 12+ hours that first day that I used this and am washing my face and I notice how small my blemish has gotten !! So I've been using it since and I love it and it really clears my skin up. I need to check into the Almay collection to see if they sell this by its self because it works and doesn't dry my skin out and the concealer color matches my skin tone to a T ! The only complaint I have is the concealer has a funny smell. But I can deal because it blends well and covers well and that treatment gel is amazing! And you can't smell it after you blend it just if you smell the concealer or you are applying it to your nose.

 

Maybelline FIT foundation - $5.94 @ WalMart

My friend Brooke recommended this a few months ago and I finally used it up before I bought the L'Oreal True Match. I liked it a lot at first. The coverage is great, and it blends into your skin easy and looks super natural but after wearing it a few weeks it was making my skin so oily after only wearing it a few hours. I tried to change my moisturizer, my face wash and my powder I was setting this foundation with but it was always oily so after I finished the bottle I decided to try something new. I may go back to it later if my skin happens to be extra dry one day or something but not right now in the middle of this hot Florida summer ! --Maybelline has a whole FIT collection including concealer , blush and powder I haven't tried any of them yet but I defiantly will be!

 

Hard Candy Glamoflauge cream concealer & concealer stick - $6.00 @ Walmart

this stuff will cover anything from acne to a tattoo. Its a GREAT inexpensive full coverage concealer and it only takes a little bit so this tube will last a while. I've had it since April and haven't put a dent in it.

 

L to R : Revlon Super Lustrous Lip Gloss in Pink Pop & Peach Petal -$5.94 @ Walmart,  Milani Crystal Gloss in Raspberry Icing - $3.99 @ Target

 

We'll start with the Revlon glosses. I think these are actually being discontinued and being replaced with something similar...but I like them. I wear them alone & over lipstick. They give off enough color on there own and add a great shine without being sticky and they don't make your lips all peely like some lip glosses do...if that makes sense..?! (: I would have bought more colors except these were marked down since like I said they are being discontinued and I assume everyone had scooped up everything else. Now on to the Milani Raspberry Icing its basically the same color as the Revlon Pink Pop except with small glitter flecks and maybe a little less shine. But I still love it and use it and its not sticky either. I'd defiantly buy these glosses again. So hopefully the new gloss that Revlon is bringing out are basically the same as these because I love them & not really sure why they would discontinue them..!

 

 

 Tone moisturizing body wash with cocoa butter in Mango Splash - $5.00 @ WalMart

This isn't my usual body wash of choice but I had a coupon for it so why not. It smells really good and Josh seems to like it. It lathers up really nice but after I get out of the shower the scent doesn't really stay on my skin and I don't feel any more moisturized than I did before so unless I have any more coupons we will be sticking to our Bath & Body Works because I wasn't impressed with this.

 

Kleancolors American Eyedol Baked eye shadow in Toffee- $1.49 @ Beauty Max

 

The picture does not do this eye shadow justice. The base color is beautiful but once it hits the light it has all of these sparkly fleck of color like silver, blue, gold, grey. Ok that sounds ugly but it just depends how its turned in the light to what color the sparkle is. I've only used it dry but since its a baked eye shadow you can use it wet also which I assume would make it darker..? But I feel like it may crease if I do that. We shall see, I guess I can try that next ! I love how pigmented this shadow is. I've been using it as my crease color in every eye look I've done the past week. LOVE LOVE LOVE can't wait to buy the entire American Eyedol collection , that name? How cute. haha.

 

Rimmel Stay Matte powder - $4.00 @ WalMart

Love it and it keeps my face shine free ! It layers really well with bronzer and blush. I will be buying this again !

 

 

 

 

 

 

Drugstore Mascara Review 6-6-13

My favorite product of all time is Mascara ! So I thought I'd do a mini mascara review on a few that I've been using the past few months, all of these are drugstore mascaras so you guys should be able to find them pretty easy! I never use just one mascara at a time I combine them up to 4 at a time usually, which I'm trying to make a list of all my combinations to share with you guys !

 

 

 

Big Bold mascara - NYC $4.47 @ Wal-mart

The brush on this mascara is way bigger than I thought so its good for top lashes but I wouldn't recommend it for bottom lashes its too messy for that. The actual mascara is Ok. Its not spectacular and I probably won't be buying it again.

 

 



Baby Got High Definition - Kleancolors $1.99 @ Beauty Max

I've only used this a few times since I bought it on Tuesday and so far so good ! I like the size of brush and how clean the mascara goes on! I can't wait to try the other mascaras from Kleancolors !

 

 

Rimmel ScandalEyes $7.00

I was so excited to buy this because I always have really good luck with Rimmel products & I heard that this is the stuff for long full eye lashes ! Well I haven't had that much luck with it . I've been layering it with a few different mascaras to get the look I want and its working out but I was really hoping that it was going to be the only one I had to use but not really. They have a few varieties of this one and I'm sure I'll try it because I'm very curious to see (:

 

 

 

Max Bold Curves - Rimmel $7 @ Walgreens

I LOVE this mascara ! LOVE LOVE. This is one of the only ones I can wear alone and still love the way my lashes look. But I do use it as a base for most of my combinations . Also I like to use this with false lashes to combine my real lashes with the false ones for a seamless look!

 

 Falsies volume express mascara -Maybelline $6 @ Drugstores

I really am a fan of this. I use it almost everyday I will be purchasing it again !! I love the curve in the brush and it never goes on clumpy ! Its easy to apply to bottom lashes too!

Sky Rise lengthening mascara - NYC - $2 @ Walmart

This mascara surprised me. Its another that I use almost everyday and for $2 it does its job! I love using this on my top side lashes and bottom lashes, any lash that's hard to reach this mascara brush can do it and its not messy at all !  I will be buying another tube of this !

2 New Mascaras !

Yesterday I was browsing around Wal-Mart and of course ended up in the make-up aisle ! And mascara being my FAVORITE product I always pick up a tube or two !

I picked up Rimmel's ScandalEyes Flex & NYC Instant Lash the Rimmel is around $6 bucks and the NYC is $1 ! I've heard GREAT things about ScandalEyes so I've been dying to try it. So I'm really excited to try these two out ! Comment below and let me know your experience with either of these !
